The employer must get an Oman work visa, residence card to stay in the country and a residence permit to enter Oman for the applicant. In Oman, all these documents are for employees between the ages of 21 to 60 who have received a job offer from an Omani company. The employer sponsors the visa and usually gets the necessary visas and permits from the Ministry of Energy.

The first step in this process for the employer is to get a work permit from the Ministry of Energy in order to hire a foreign employee. The employer submits the workforce application form to the General Directorate in the Ministry of Energy.

The second step is to offer a job to the employee. The employer in
Oman sends an invitation letter to the qualified person.

The third step is to issue a work visa (an employment visa). Employers must get worker visas for their sponsored immigrants. They must apply for a worker visa in Immigration Office of Royal Oman Police

The fourth step is to issue a residence card. After collecting the data, the General Directorate of Civil Status issues a residence card for the employee that is valid for two years.

The fifth step is to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is a document which states that both the sponsoring employer and the government of Oman have no problems with employee who is working in this country. Once the employee has obtained the work visa and residence card, they can start working with the employer in Oman.
